Hi again folks.... I received a personal invitation to come back and visit the forum again by one of the people who have been obviously closely connected with this forum in "better" times, before the spammers arrived to contaminate the scene. I read the few responses to my first forum contact, and the actions proposed by the powers that be. To the one response that I was being too "harsh" and needed to lighten up, I calls them as I sees them. As I said, to a newbie coming into contact with that tirade against the person wanting to get the discs in order to play this game, seeing the obvious reaction to someone wanting to get onboard using whatever shortcuts they can, that's kind of intimidating. Sure there are LOTS of people out here in cyberspace trying to get what they can for as little effort as possible...hell, I'm probably in the same boat as the majority of them...witness:
a) have you never visited a crack or keygen site to get free passage to software you didn't want to pay for???
b) have you never purposely posted in similar forums as this JUST to get a freebie of some sort?

c) have you never consulted cheats or other internet assistance to further your game levels???
Well, you get the idea, I'm sure....let him who is without sin cast the first stone.... I doubt I'd see many stones flying around here or any other gaming site....it's all human nature!!! Anyway, I must confess, I came here originally to get at least a demo copy of this particular game to see what it was all about. I didn't really see where I could download that, and also, I should have started reading the forum posts from the last page forward... maybe I will, maybe I would have gotten a better impression of the site?

I agree totally that the forum needs some reform, that bad posts should be relegated to a "trashed" area, and if this site is being maintained by a specific individual, then it's his/her perogative to impose the prerequisites for obtaining the gaming discs and choosing the moderators he/she depends upon to "police" the site is also his/her domain. That person should also consider carefully how their "rules" will influence the site, which must always be to the betterment of the game and the growth of a positive community dedicated to that game, and not try to "play God" with the masses of would be followers. I don't know enough about your community or the main man yet to make any determinations, but far be it from me to pass judgement, because really, the answer is pretty easy... if you don't like the temperature, get out of the fire. Okay, enough already from me... I'm really starting to sound like the older concerned parent that I have been. Use common sense, and be good to each other. Hey, one of these days, I might even have something to contribute???!!! We live in hope, but we die alone...................
