      I was also having a visual bug where none of the words int he menu options could show up.

        What Operative System are you using? Is it Windows 8?

          Sorry I went to edit that message but apparently i missed the submit button, Im using win 7 pro 64 bit, I have 2 nvidia gtx 970 SLI. I can't see the words or the cursor in the menu. I just want to play my old favorite :(

            Interesting. I use Windows 7 as well. I downloaded the game from the download section. No configuration (compatibility settings) required. Used Magic Disc.
            Yet, I think I used the dll-files fixer that I got from another game (Metal Fatigue, which is as old as Machines) instead of using the file from the download section. That might be the difference, but the 32/64 bit issue could be a problem as well.
            I'm sure that the dll-files fixer enabled me to make the game work, since I attempted to run Machines before but failed.
            I hope this information helps, because everyone is getting different weird results.

                Although I'm not sure if the one that I have is the free version, I could try to upload it here.
                I cannot do it now, but tomorrow I might be able to do so.
