This is going to be a thread on the progress of 'CMD THE MACHINES,' which is a little javascript project to put you in the (mechanical) shoes of the controller with a classic computer terminal interface. Source can be found here.

Updates on progress will be posted here. By the way, this is supposed to be a short project in free time and I will put it live on a website hopefully soon.

Looks interesting. Is there a list of commands anywhere or what does it do?

Yup, the help command will list all of the things you can do. (It will tell the player that off start) The basic idea is to colonize/conquer through a command interface. It's pretty early on so I was still debating real-time vs turn based events, but I think I'm going with real-time to be immersive since a supercomputer AI deals with a lot of things at once, especially when it's commanding an interplanetary machine army.

@bilal That's a nice application! It wasn't very easy for me to launch a seeding pod on a planet least colonized by enemy forces... but once I learned it, it begun to be quite fun!

I can only guess how many operations the Controller needs to make to seed so many planets at once.

I don't really get it. I cannot launch any Pods, because the Vessels are not in orbit of any planet. But if I write any orbit command, then it responds with Vessel X is already orbiting that planet. Did I miss something?

@X-Lord Strange, it should ask you to jump to the system in which the planet is, then you would use the orbit command on the planet, then you would launch one of the pods in that vessel.

I just tested it and it is intended to look like this:

                  Thanks @Radler!
