Encrypted's Stuff Thread

A few cool things I've noticed:
Ion Cannons (four blasts fired at once):
-
Shortly after firing
-
A few seconds later
This is an actual cropped screenshot.
Nukes:
Detonating a few nukes around made this building... armored.
Anyone can explain how? -

@bilal
Is this scale correct? Those are pine trees. I could add more detail as well. Also, can something of this size be done?
-
-
@bilal
Effectively, by correct I meant possible. I guess that video is a green light for me to start painting! -
-
Whoops, my internet connection wasn't working for a few days.
@Pisarz, I guess the scale is correct, as long as Gorillas are two times bigger than those trees. Not sure, though. The map looks like it's huge.
-
@Encrypted @Pisarz
You can always look at machines compared to the current maps since there are trees and other natural objects. Of course you go between planets so the scale depends on your artistic vision for new maps. ;)
Unless you're trying to keep the scales Earth-like.
-
@bilal Yeah, for example some machines like Scouts or Technicians are very small, and machines like Bee Bombers are big. I saw it.
Still, I can't imagine how big the Civilian Factory Complex really is.
-
New campaign map?
-
abstract but interesting work, pisarz.

TAKE THAT, LITTLE MAN
51 NUKES HEADIN' STRAIGHT AT YA (just making sure you brought Gorillas)

Uh, looks like the forum is sleepin'. Or somethin'.
Anyway, here's the (in)famous outro from Machines, converted to .avi format. Enjoy!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qca-8fAzME
Pardon me for its quality, but it's... well... original.
Uh... I know everyone could do it...yay.gorilla
P.S. If you wish to, I can convert more!
P.P.S. If that needs a separate thread, well... -
Hey, look, I made art, and you probably know how did I make it...

@Encrypted
"Spy on-line" hahaha -
@Encrypted This turret is on side or front?
-
@Ddc_Cl You mean the turret... well, its front and sides look like that, I guess. It fires from the upper part, consider it a medium-range mortar.
I really didn't knew where should I put the barrel... so it can be on its top.

@Encrypted Soemthign like This?:
-
@Ddc_Cl Yup, something like that.

Hey, look, a FREAKIN' WALL. Or, more accurately, a FREAKIN' ENERGY WALL.
Featuring:
- The Energy Wall
- The Warlord
- The "Beta Style" Reapers
- The Energy Generator (not visible to make this scene 9001% more dramatic)
How does it work? Simple: you place an energy generator somewhere, then you can build energy walls. These walls are indestructible and if you make them outline your territory, building or whatever, they'll also make it impossible for airborne units to shoot your stuff down. In addition, they block enemy superweapons if you outline your territory and let your units pass and shoot through the walls freely! However, they can't be built if they're too far away from the generator and will die as soon as the generator supporting them is destroyed. Plus, well, you can't build on your walls. Additionally, the generators use your BMUs to fuel theirselves (you can turn all generators off if you don't need them) and turning them on doesn't activate them instantly. To explain this in a more... illustrative way, I made this image:
Where:
- Black colour is any indestructible obstacle
- Red colour is where you CAN'T build a generator (because it'll be impossible to destroy it and it'll ruin the fun)
- Green colour is where you CAN build a generator (because it must be accessible to the enemy, balanced, isn't it?)
- Blue colour is the generator's "wall supporting" range
- Yellow colour is an example of a wall you can place (you can't block your generator with those fancy energy walls, ya know?)
Well, that is it. Whaddya think, eh?
