Hi, I created a Reaper in Blender. It is already rigged and textured. For the Textures it may be helpful to have some basic Materail-Textures for the Metal, so that the Models look not too different. I already created some and if you like them I can share them. ;D
Based on the model, i uploaded two vids. In one animation i just let the legs move, to better support a moving body for aming in first person for example.
@Encrypted I thought echos were a reverberation taking longer to return to your ear.
A reverberation is perceived when the reflected sound wave reaches your ear in less than 0.1 second after the original sound wave.
Yea Machines unit voices (i've been looking them up) just sound like they are either filtered through an autotune (like soundwave from transformers), or have that radio effect over them.
Give this SITE an experiment for autotuned filters ^ ,^ heaps of fun.
I present the "TRI-Flyer" or "The flea" for the individual ones.
On on their own they can climb terrain and they hop to move around, but cant fly, but when three join together they can fly and move quicker and pick up other units! but they cant attack, unless you keep them a "flea" and change out their adapter for a weapon? alternatively it could be a faster scout.. you could disconnect them with a "flea" button and they'd pop apart mid air. giving them a better chance to partially survive in a bad situation.
@Encrypted Well Archiv that are kill tons of Enemys can be but that must be a few must of the can be Less enemy but in some time or a number of Games
Something like Dunno 100 kills i a Game With Gorilla Punch
1000 HP Heal With Medic i 5 minutes
I see here that most of the data files have been examined and the models, albeit in DirectX format, extracted. AFAIK, if the models can be used and modified, and the AI programmed then there must be an engine out there that can use this data to recreate this game. I have seen Unity3D mentioned here and from what I have seen of it (quite a bit at this point) it would be ideal for this task. The only issue being the .x format but I was able to convert them to .obj and they show up in Unity just fine.
You're posting in the forum of the remake. Unfortunately, I just haven't been able to do much work for it lately, but I will soon. I've already loaded in original models and given them very basic RTS controls in Unreal Engine 4. The reasoning behind UE4 versus unity, and trust me: I love Unity, is that Unity's terrain tools are pretty bad, and UE4 provides not only much better terrain tools, but a very simple way to give players a development kit for modding and map making.
If you look at the mod editor for ARK: Survival Evolved, it's pretty much just all of UE4's tools provided in a way to make it simpler for a modder to use.
