What worked for @BeVeRenT- and what he forgot to mention was the IPXwrapper http://www.solemnwarning.net/ipxwrapper/ and hamachi network. This allowed him to choose "IPX CONNECTION FOR DIRECTPLAY" in the multiplayer options.

I installed machines again, and since this happened to me, I do not know if it will be the new updates that I had in Windows 10, because previously it worked for me.

dgVoodoo did not work for me.

Well that is a shame. I checked your version and there's no mistakes on my end. I also got the black textures on the DirectX Viewer, but when I turn it so its almost completely vertical or horizontal, then its colours appear. I also fiddled around with the settings and turned off an option, something to do with shadows, and the colour came back (more or less). I might try going through the tutorial again, hopefully it was a small typing error that I missed. Thanks all the same.

@M123 Yeah, 1929 x 1080 is an option, but the opening menu and in game side menu becomes tiny. The initial opening menu is about 1/8 of my actual screen. And thanks again!
@Pisarz once I zoom out, even a little, their eyes change to be like this, just white dots, the gorillas eyes disappeared all together, but I painted them back on. And for the wasps and bee bomber their eyes were quite small, so I painted slightly larger, brighter ones over the top

i must say that this tool isn't working on mine Windows 7 ;x when i try to extract mech1 then it opens CMD window then closes after few seconds without any result / error :/ nothing happens damn it...

Another suggestion is to use the https://www.gameranger.com/ with which I was able to play Machines online.

The Machines Demo on the Turok 2 demo is what introduced me to the game. I saw Turok 2 remastered on Steam a few days ago, too. I really hope someone does that for Machines.

I just tried both Wine 2.0.1 (stable) and 2.9 (Devel) on a MacBook Air running Sierra 10.12.5, but I was not able to get past the main menu except on my first try, due to the mouse cursor being trapped in a large square in roughly the top 1/4 of the screen. The first try I was able to get all the way to the menu for the first mission of the training, but I wasn't able to launch it due to the second disk not being mounted. I'll keep trying, since I really want to get this to work.

@pianist88 You might get better performance if you install dgVoodoo 2.

Some parts of the game may still run a bit slow at times - I think maps with day/night cycle might suffer from some weird performance issues on modern computers.

Hey, nice to see that one of my videos actually did something worth a damn! Though, you probably could've chosen one of the newer ones, these ones are kinda outdated :P

If the alpha ever pops up, Reapers gotta be in it. It just wouldn't be Machines without them.
